IPConfigure Introduces Enterprise Surveillance Manager 6.0

Norfolk, VA,

IPConfigure introduces Enterprise Surveillance Manager (ESM) 6.0, the industry's only browser-based enterprise VMS capable of supporting unlimited cameras, locations, and users through a single unified interface without the need to install or license client software. ESM is designed for hardware independence, operating with commercial off-the-shelf IP cameras, encoders, switches, servers, and storage. As a web-based VMS, ESM is accessible through a secure encrypted SSL log-in by which users and administrators can remotely access and configure the system from nearly any network device.

ESM is designed for enterprise and critical infrastructure installations, with advanced administration and management features such as Active Directory support and detailed reporting including an audit trail with historical user activity. A flexible licensing system based on camera count or an enterprise site license removes the need to manage device serial numbers or MAC addresses. As a browser-based application, ESM is distinguished by its ease of use for administrators and end-users alike. Cameras are easily located and grouped through either a hierarchical layout or an interactive map. Recorded video for one or more cameras can be located through a graphical motion histogram or motion-based thumbnail image search. Customers benefit from ESM's extensive case management system, offering library-based archival video storage, video editing and annotation, case notes, and forensic export with hash key validation. ESM also features an exclusive motion-grooming algorithm that retains 100% of recorded video for a scheduled minimum duration, after which only video containing motion is retained in order to maximize video retention.

ESM 6.0 introduces many powerful new features, including an enhanced video playback experience with a visual indication of motion activity that allows users to rapidly jump between motion events while reviewing recorded video. Complementing the new motion-based navigation feature is a multi-camera playback interface which aggregates video and motion events from several cameras into a single synchronized view. As with all ESM features, motion-based navigation and multi-camera playback are fully browser independent, offering the same functionality and user experience across Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari, on both Windows and OS X devices. Also new in ESM 6.0 is integration with IPConfigure's Embedded License Plate Recognition (eLPR) , a license plate recognition application that runs natively inside select Axis cameras. By pushing recognized license plates into ESM, eLPR result data can be stored, visualized, and analyzed using ESM's sophisticated reporting, watchlist, and events functionality.

"The release of ESM 6.0 is an important milestone for both IPConfigure and the industry. With its innovative new user experiences, expanded product functionality, and enterprise licensing model, ESM empowers surveillance operators while reducing the total cost of ownership," says Christopher Uiterwyk, President and CEO, IPConfigure, Inc.

ESM 6.0 will be released worldwide in May 2015.
