Overview

Description

ipConfigure’s IPVS University provides physical security and IT professionals with the knowledge to design, implement, and manage IP based video surveillance systems.  The one day certification is limited to twenty participants and offers a mix of presentations, labs, and guest lecturers from leading industry partners covering topics from cameras, networking to video analytics.  Attendees will be trained on the setup, configuration, management and use of ipConfigure’s Enterprise Surveillance Manager 5.1 application.

Equipment Required for Training

Hardware:
• Participants will make use of their own laptop PCs with minimum requirements: Intel Pentium 4, 500 MB RAM, CD ROM drive, 10/100 network jack, mouse

Software:
• Participants must have rights to install ActiveX control in their browser.
• Operating Systems: Microsoft XP Pro (32-bit), Vista Business (32-bit) or Vista Ultimate (32-bit), Windows 7 (32-bit). All updates (available on the Microsoft website) should be installed prior to training.  If using Vista, User Access Control (UAC) must be disabled.
• Microsoft .NET Framework v 2.0 or greater
• Adobe Flash Player Installed

Fee Includes

• One day of training
• ipConfigure's Surveillance Manager Basic 8 camera demo license
• Coffee, snacks, soft drinks, and lunch to be provided.

Norfolk Site Location

IPVS University is conducted in a state of the art conference facility at Innovation Research Park (IRP) building 2 located at 4211 Monarch Way, Norfolk, Virginia on the campus of Old Dominion University (ODU).

Hotels/Airport/Parking:
On campus accommodations are available at the Marriott SpringHill Suites (Group rate: $129.00/night) which is only 12 miles from Norfolk International Airport (ORF) and 28 miles from Newport News International Airport (PHF). Other hotels in close proximity to ODU include the Norfolk Marriott Waterside (3 miles) or Sheraton Norfolk Waterside (4 miles) both located in downtown Norfolk.
On-site parking is available at: Ted Constant Convocation South Parking Garage "C" located on the corner of 41st & Hampton Blvd. The main entrance and exit is from 43rd Street. Daily Passes must be used in Garage C and can be picked up in the conference facility at IRP building 2.

• Seats are limited to a first come first serve basis. 
• Certification sessions start promptly at 8:30 AM and end at 5:30 PM.
