Description
ipConfigure has partnered with industry manufacturers and experts to deliver a robust curriculum that requires minimal IT experience while providing physical security and IT professionals with the working knowledge to design, implement, and manage IP based video surveillance systems.
The two-day certification is limited to fifteen participants and offers a unique 40/40/20 mix of presentations, labs, and guest lecturers covering topics from networking to video analytics. There is no other IP video surveillance certification offered that covers such a broad spectrum of topics while maintaining a manufacturer independent perspective.

Equipment Required for Training
Participants will make use of their own laptop PCs in the course of training. Please make sure your laptop computer has a minimum of the following:

Intel PIV, 500 MB RAM, Windows XP, IE 7 (or better)

CAT5 network cable socket

Microsoft XP Pro (32-bit), Vista Business (32-bit) or Vista Ultimate (32-bit). All updates (available on the Microsoft website) should be installed prior to training. If using Vista, User Access Control (UAC) must be disabled.

Norfolk Site Location
The certification program's main location is in Virginia on the campus of Old Dominion University (ODU) and provides attendees access to leading researches in the fields of information technology, computational intelligence, and machine vision. The campus in located in Norfolk, VA and offers on-site lodging at the Marriott SpringHill Suites (Group rate: $129.00/night) which is only 12 miles from Norfolk International Airport (ORF) and 28 miles from Newport News International Airport (PHF). Other lodging locations include the Norfolk Marriott Waterside (3 miles) or Sheraton Norfolk Waterside (4 miles) both located in downtown Norfolk.
