ipConfigure is a developer of IP video management software with a focus in video surveillance solutions. ipConfigure is privately owned and was founded in 2003 after completing an enterprise IP video surveillance deployment for Atlanta Public Schools. This project was the first large-scale IP video surveillance deployment based on open architecture. The founders recognized that it was a nascent market with limited software offerings. Specifically, it lacked scalable enterprise IP video surveillance management software. ipConfigure focused on a solution that was both intuitive and scalable while based on a three-tier (computing) web-based application.

In 2007 ipConfigure delivered ESM 4.0, the fourth generation enterprise IP video surveillance application. This version featured increased functionality and a highly intuitive user interface. ipConfigure also offers Surveillance as a Service (SAS), the industries first hosted IP video monitoring product designed for resale as a value-added service.

Today, ipConfigure has successfully deployed systems in facilities ranging from nuclear power plants to public school systems all based on a non-proprietary methodology while offering compatibility to third-party IP cameras, servers, storage, and switching hardware. As physical security and IT converge ipConfigure will continue to facilitate the process by developing solutions that integrate both building and life safety systems through a seamless enterprise solution.
